Nairobi, Kenya: Ruaraka Cricket Club delivered a clinical all-round performance to defeat Nairobi Gymkhana by 71 runs in a high-intensity match of the NPCA League 2025, further strengthening their position at second place on the league table.
Ruaraka’s innings was anchored by a blistering knock from opener Pushkar Sharma, who smashed 108 runs off just 75 deliveries, peppered with 17 boundaries and a six. He was well-supported by Satyalaksh Jain, who added a composed 64 runs, as the pair stitched together a dominant partnership. The Ruaraka side posted a formidable total of 301 runs in 50 overs, setting a steep target for their opponents.
Nairobi Gymkhana, despite a promising start led by Yuvraj Bhatyani (47 runs), couldn’t keep up with the required rate and were eventually bowled out for 230 runs. Ruaraka’s bowling unit delivered a disciplined performance, with Nitish Hirani bagging 4 wickets and Neelakash Tambe taking 2 wickets.
For Gymkhana, Krishil Patel was the standout bowler, claiming 4 wickets, though his efforts couldn’t prevent Ruaraka’s batting onslaught. With this comprehensive win, Ruaraka continues its push for the top of the table, sitting firmly at No. 2 in the NPCA League standings.
