Former Under-16 Mumbai team captain Pushkar Sharma has been selected in the Eldoret Elephant franchise team in the African Premier League to be held in Kenya. Pushkar Sharma currently lives in Kenya.
As a cricketer, Pushkar is working very hard to fulfill his father’s dream and he has got this very good opportunity. Pushkar has given full credit to this occasion to his parents. According to the African Premier League, the tournament has started on 25 March and is likely to end by 10 April.
It will be held at Ruaraka Sports Club. There will be a double round-robin stage and a final on Sunday. The tournament is organized by the Nairobi Provincial Cricket Association, which is an affiliate of Cricket Kenya.
There will be 6 teams participating in this tournament which includes Nairobi Lions, Thika Hippos, Eldoret Elephant, Nakuru Leppard, Mombasa Rhinos and Kisum Python. These teams which represent different counties in the country.
Pushkar Sharma also thanked IndiaFirst Life Insurance Company and Blackbird Sports Company. People are congratulating Pushkar’s family by calling and coming home because just like there is Indian Premier League in India, there is African Premier League in Africa and Eldor Elephant bought Pushkar in that league. Players from many countries including Kenya, Pakistan, New Zealand and India are playing in this league.
